IGNOU BEd Admission 2025-26
IGNOU BEd admission 2025-26 is starting in January. This professional course will start admission from the next session. This open university offers BEd as a minimum 2 year course. However, students can extend their course up to 5 years. This flexible course is offered at a course fee of Rs. 55,000/-.
IGNOU Bed focuses on the professional training of teachers. It aims to develop the understanding of teaching methods and concepts. Applications for this teaching course are accepted online at IGNOU. With the last date for 2025 session being 31st January 2025.
IGNOU Bed Eligibility Criteria
The admission form for BEd IGNOU program will release soon. The eligibility criteria for admission is-
- Minimum 50% in graduation or post graduation in science/humanities or commerce.
- For BTech graduates the minimum marks for admission are 55%.
- Trained in-service teachers are eligible to apply.
- NCTE trained teachers can also apply.

IGNOU BEd Entrance Test
IGNOU has decided to select the candidates for its BEd program based on an entrance paper.This entrance test will check the general aptitude of the applicants. Final admission depends on the rank obtained in this test. BEd Entrance test 2025 will have 100 questions for 100 marks. This test will be conducted for 2 hours.
Candidates can apply for admission online on the BEd portal. This portal also helps students to appear for the entrance examination. Students can apply by registering themselves online on this portal. The last date to register for the IGNOU BEd entrance test 2025 is 31st Janaury 2025.
IGNOU BEd Admission Process 2025-26
IGNOU admission process is online. It will start with BEd admission form being released online. Students need to fill these admission forms and pay the application fee of Rs. 1,000. This session IGNOU will also conduct an entrance test for BEd. This will be conducted in the examination centers selected by the university.

IGNOU BEd Application Process 2025-26
Step 1: Go to the online IGNOU BEd Samarth Website @ignou-bed.samarth.edu.in. There is a separate IGNOU BEd admission portal.
Step 2: Register on the online portal. This will start the admission process. An username and password will be generated for log in to the admission portal.
Step 3: Use the generated username and password to log in to the admission portal. Now the admission form can be seen.
Step 4: Start filling the admission form for IGNOU BEd admission 2025-26.
Step 5: Upload the documents to complete the BEd application. Documents are needed to cross check the student’s given information.
Step 6: Pay Rs. 1,000 as the application fee. This fee is to be paid online.
Step 7: Submit the online application. Enrollment number generated should be kept safe. This helps in future communication with the university.

IGNOU Multiple Admission

IGNOU BEd Entrance Test Date 2025-26
The schedule for the entrance test will be notified on the official IGNOU website @ignou.ac.in. Students will be given an admit card through which they can enter the examination center. This admit card will be released online. IGNOU may change the examination center depending on the availability of the center and number of students applied. Students should keep themselves updated about the entrance test news.
IGNOU BEd Entrance Syllabus
Students will appear in an MCQ type entrance test for IGNOU BEd admission 2025-26. This test will ask 100 questions in 2 hours. These questions will test the general awareness and aptitude of the students along with their subject knowledge. IGNOU has divided the entrance test in 2 parts.
Part 1 of the entrance test is to know about the General English, Logic and teaching knowledge of the student. This is done by asking questions from the following topics:-

IGNOU BEd Merit List 2025-26
Final admissions to BEd program will be based on the rank list in the entrance examination. Students can find the merit list online after the entrance test. IGNOU will release the merit list on its official website. Students who have appeared for the entrance test can find their rank on this list. There is a limit for IGNOU BEd admission 2025-26 in IGNOU learning centers. As decided, every learning center will admit only 50 students based on this rank list.
IGNOU BEd Fee Structure
The fee for IGNOU BEd program for the 2025 session is Rs. 55,000/-. This fee should be paid through a demand draft. The demand draft should be payable to IGNOU. Students should make sure that the Demand Draft is payable at the same city as their assigned Regional center. Fees should be paid separately from the entrance form and application fee. This makes it easy for IGNOU to keep a clear communication with students about their admission status.
Selected students will also need to pay additional charges of IGNOU University Development fee. This IGNOU fee is only a one time payment. It is collected from the selected IGNOU applicants during the admission process. To complete the admission process it is important to pay Rs. 200/- to IGNOU as the university development fee.
Similarly, another expense of IGNOU exam fee is also payable after the IGNOU BEd admission 2025-26. During the end term exams of BEd students need to fill an exam form their theory and practical subjects. For theory subject students must submit Rs. 200/- for every subject. Practical IGNOU exam form costs Rs. 300/-.
