IGNOU BPP Admission 2025-26: Admission at IGNOU for January 2025 session has started. IGNOU BPP is a preparatory course offered to students who have missed out on their 12th class. Eligibility criteria needs just a minimum of 18 years of age. Application for IGNOU BPP is through the ODL IGNOU admission portal. To apply, IGNOU asks for an BPP application fee of Rs. 300/-. For the current session this course is discontinued.
The course fee for this 6 month course is Rs. 1,200/-. Currently on hold, this course used to provide qualification for 12th class so that students can continue their education.
Details for IGNOU BPP Admission 2025-26
For the 2025 session, BPP is not offered at IGNOU. This course is for students over 18 years of age that have missed out on 12th class education. IGNOU application fee is Rs. 300/-. Students can deposit this fee at the end of IGNOU admission process.
Students with the help of IGNOU study materials and contact classes study subjects in general mathematics. They also complete preparatory courses in social sciences and commerce IGNOU BPP admission 2025-26 is not available.
IGNOU BPP Admission Eligibility
IGNOU BPP is open for anyone over the age of 18 years. Any adult who wishes to continue their education can apply to this 6 month bachelor’s program. It is open to all sections of society and IGNOU accepts applications from all over India.
IGNOU BPP Fee
IGNOU BPP has a very small fee of Rs. 1,200. This fee is payable during admission. This is also the IGNOU BPP admission fee. Students must also pay Rs. 300/- as the application fee for IGNOU. This university accepts UPI, credit card, and debit card mode of payment. A university development fee of Rs. 200/- is also needed during admission.
IGNOU BPP Application Process
For the current session IGNOU BPP Admission 2025-26 are not available. Application process for ODL courses is as follows:
Step 1: For ODL admission students must visit the IGNOU admission portal.
Step 2: By clicking on “New Registration” they can create a new account.
Step 3: They must log in to their IGNOU Admission portal 2025-26.
Step 4: Fill the online application form. Fill in all the mandatory fields.
Step 5: Select the desired subject.
Step 6: Scan and upload the important documents. IGNOU needs these documents for identity and information verification.
Step 7: Pay the IGNOU application fee. This amount is Rs. 300. Payment is accepted through UPI, credit card, or debit card.
Step 8: Submit the application form.
Step 9: Print the page of acknowledgement for further use.

Preparatory Course in Commerce
This subject will bring the student up to date with the concepts of accounting. Students will learn credit and debit systems, calculating the profit and losses of a business, and keeping the account of a business system.
IGNOU BPP syllabus teaches the core nature of business, why business is needed, how a business operates. Through this IGNOU will make the student ready for higher commerce studies.

Preparatory Course in General Mathematics
This mathematical course will bring clarity in the logical thinking of students. Through this course IGNOU teaches concepts of fraction, geometry, permutation and combination, etc. This not only brings logical clarity in thought but also helps students to communicate their thoughts logically.
After this subject students will be ready to handle mathematical problems they encounter in most of the bachelor’s degrees like BCom, BA, BBA, etc.

Preparatory Course in Social Sciences
In this course students learn the difference between science and social sciences. IGNOU
teaches how social sciences affect our daily world. Students learn how and where social data is collected. Through this subject, IGNOU aims to explain the civil society of India, present political and social conditions.
After this course students will be able to join BA courses in history, political sciences, and sociology.

IGNOU Contact Classes

These assignments are prepared by IGNOU teachers. Assignment questions are selected to bring the logical thinking out of students.
These assignments also carry real marks. They are counted in the final report sheet of the student. To appear for the final term end examination students must submit their assignments on time. Exam hall tickets are released to students who complete their IGNOU assignments.
