IGNOU MCom Admission 2025-26: Applications are accepted for Master of Commerce (MCom) course at IGNOU. MCom admission has opened at IGNOU with the January 2025 session. Students with a bachelor’s degree can apply for MCom admissions online by paying an application fee of Rs.300. IGNOU admission portal will accept MCom applications till the last date (which is extended) of 15 February 2025.

IGNOU MCom Admission 2025-26
IGNOU MCom admissions have started from 12 December 2024 for the January 2025 session. New academic session at IGNOU is also start after the end of December TEEs. IGNOU MCom admission 2025-26 process is a merit based process. Requiring no entrance exam, this is an online process. Students from all states of India can apply for IGNOU admission 2025.

Students can also take help of IGNOU study centers for admission. Students can apply for MCom till 31st January 2025.
IGNOU MCom Eligibility
IGNOU MCom courses are open to all. Bachelor’s degree holders can apply online for IGNOU MCom admission 2025-26. IGNOU MCom eligibility age for admission has no maximum limit. This has kept IGNOU an open to all university.
For MCom admission IGNOU asks no minimum marks criteria. Students with just passing marks can apply without facing any question.
IGNOU MCom Fee Structure
Master of Commerce from IGNOU is open for admission. IGNOU has updated the MCom fee structure in the session January 2025. Students will have to pay admission fee, application fee, course fee and other expenses listed below. IGNOU has divided the fee as one time payment fees and per semester fees. Some expenses are to be paid every semester while others are a one time payment during the admission process.

How to Apply for IGNOU MCom
For online IGNOU admission process students can follow the following steps:
Step 1: Go to IGNOU MCom admission portal @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Step 2: On the homepage of this admission portal, register making a new account.
Step 3: Enter your name and email address, this will create your login credentials.
Step 4: Log in to admissions portal using newly created admission id.
Step 5: Start filling the admission form.
Step 6: Upload your documents for verification. University uses various documents to identify genuine applicants.
Step 7: Pay the application fee of – Rs. 300
Step 8: Print and save the acknowledgement page.

IGNOU MCom Fee Refund Policy
Students are given a window to cancel their admission application. This can happen with the IGNOU policy dealing with cancellation of admissions. According to this rule at IGNOU a student gets 100% of fee refund if the cancellation is made before the confirmation of the MCom admission. Students who apply for a refund after admission confirmation have to bear a fine of 15% of the programme fee. However, this fine has a maximum amount of Rs. 2,000/-. This means even if the fine’s amount is more than Rs. 2,000/- IGNOU will only collect Rs. 2,000/-.
But students must have applied for cancellation before 60 days of the last day of admission. If a refund application is made after completing 60 days since the last date of admission, the deposit fees relapse and students get no refund in such cases.
IGNOU MCom Course Details
MCom or Master of Commerce is a postgraduate IGNOU programme. This programme focuses on market, trade, and finance subjects.

IGNOU MCom Study Material
IGNOU has many online and offline MCom course resources for students. For January 2025 session it offers E-learning modules. These MCom study resources help students learn the theory part of their subjects. Students also get recorded lectures. IGNOU MCom Assignment
IGNOU assignments are an important part for a complete learning experience. IGNOU MCom assignments are made for practical understanding of the subject. It contains practical commerce problems. After the end of the admission process 2025-26, IGNOU will release the MCom assignments on the official website of IGNOU. Students will be required to download these assignments and complete them. Importance of IGNOU MCom Assignments
In the distance education programme of IGNOU, assignments are used for continuous assessment. To help the grading of IGNOU MCom students assignments are used. They carry a weightage of 30% in the final term end examinations. IGNOU MCom assignments are valid only if they are submitted before the last date of IGNOU assignment submission of March 31st, 2025.
Not only this but IGNOU assignments are also a requirement for IGNOU term end examination validity. Students who have not submitted the required number of MCom assignments will not be able to appear in IGNOU MCom TEEs. Thus, these assignments serve two purposes –

Step 1: Visit the online website of the assigned IGNOU regional center. Eg. If Shimla Regional Center has been assigned to a student, they will visit @rcshimla.ignou.ac.in.
Step 2: Go to the News and Event Section.
Step 3: Look for the assignment submission link.
Step 4: Click on the google form link for IGNOU MCom Assignment submission.
Step 5: A google form will open. Enter the student’s name, student’s enrollment number, subject code, and upload the PDF file of the completed assignment.
Step 6: Click on the submit button.
Following these steps students can submit the IGNOU assignments online. However, IGNOU also has facilities for offline assignment submissions.

Step 1: Prepare the MCom assignment with the front page.
Step 2: Bind the assignments properly.
